Last Thursday, around 3:30, I started hearing sighs and crying from room 119. A dark cloud started circling around the Field House as Efolio was mentioned by Dr. Leight. After the one hour presentation by Dr. Leight, most students had the "deer in the headlights" look on their face, including mine. However, I do think this project will be quite beneficial and exciting to say the least. But just not knowing where to start is what startled me. This spring break, I will not be going to Cancun, Orlando, Miami, Hawaii, or anywhere else that is "fun" and "relaxing". I will be stuck at home scanning papers and documents for EFOLIO. Good luck :)

I hear you on this man, this e-folio is going to be absoultly terrible. It sucks that during my spring break I am going to have to scan a bunch of papers and get other paper work together. I cannot wait until this project over because its going to be a lot of work.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate with your feelings on the e-folio, although I must say I am looking at this as a positive task, one that will help me in the near future. I also think that it will be much easier to put together than the web page was, at least with this I know about myself and what I have its all about collecting artifacts to prove what you’ve done. Not too hard, I am saying this now, but I think if I survived the web page this will be a breeze. As for spring break the first half of the week I will be at home working on all of my projects as well, and the rest of the week I’ll be visiting my sister in Ohio, not a warm tropical vacation spot but I am excited none the less. Enjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteJohnny, you speak the truth. This electronic portfolio will be a nightmare. It will indeed be a positive task and doing a good job on it is essential. When Dr. Leight said that it will "Bring you to your knees" I just laughed to myself thinking how much this efolio will own me. It will be a grueling task, but again it will be useful for our future. I am still looking forward to break however, so I can play Call of Duty and eat home-cooked meals and spend quality time with my family. Have a phenomenal break!
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to agree about the e-folio being absolutely terrible!! When I did Athletic Training at SRU, we started out with an e-folio on FrontPage. Boy was that a pain in the arse! No one knew what they were doing and they guy who started to teach us about it quit the following year without ever finishing the teaching!! Luckily, this class assignment is going to help me to enhance my AT portfolio as well as my Health and Phys Ed portfolio. Let's cross our fingers and hope and pray for the best...
