As we just passed Spring break, I have come to realize that I have absolutely no motivation or energy left to put into classes. I stared at my computer for two hours today just trying to think of everything I had to do in the next couple of weeks. Having nothing to worry about over Spring break was like a week at a glance of this upcoming Summer break, which is extremely long this year. I look at pictures like these and wish I was there, and not here in Slippery Rock. It is so hard to stay focused and concentrated on classes in the Spring. I don't know if it is me, it just seems like Spring semester is so much harder than Fall because I get so anxious for having 3 months off or almost 4. It is also upsetting that we do not get any type of short break for Easter, luckily I live within an hour from Slippery Rock. Maybe it's just me, but I feel so drained at this point in the semester.
A men! Ha, I hear you. If it wasn't for softball and having to stay up on my work I'd probably fall apart every spring semester-- especially when the weather starts to break. But luckily for me I can't afford to have your problem right now. I have a bajillion things due, mixed in with 2 bajillion games... talk about intimidating and stressful. Stress- something you should be a pro at now, or not so much if you're like me with that report.
ReplyDeleteJohn you couldn't be more correct in your statement. This time of year is absolutely dreadful. It seems like the workload increases exponentially and everything is due right around the same time. I also agree with you saying that the Spring semester is more difficult then the Fall because of the Summer to look forward to. It seems like it is right around the corner. Motivation to do work is hard to come by as well because we just came back from spring break. It was relaxing indeed and I didn't even think about school. Looking into the immediate future with all the work that needs to be done drops us to our knees begging for mercy. Good luck in all your future endevours.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you completely it is so hard to concentrate this semester and it seems that especially because we dont have any short breaks that the semester is just dragging. Also i cant wait for summer and to be off for so long with no worries. And i was in Punta Cana over winter break and it looked just like your picture. . . it was wonderful and i want to go back!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Summer seems to be so close, a little over a month and a half away! It's amazing how much work and projects professors can throw at you. I'm also upset we don't even get one or two days off for Easter, but I guess I just have to keep looking forward to summer vacation.
